Strong lands Georgia CB Frazier

Louisville's 2012 commitment list grew to five late Thursday night when Demetrius Frazier, a 5-10, 175-pound cornerback from Bruswick, Georgia, verbally committed to Charlie Strong's program.

Louisville's 2012 commitment list grew to five late Thursday night when Demetrius Frazier, a 5-10, 175-pound cornerback from Bruswick, Georgia, verbally committed to Charlie Strong's program.

Frazier's commitment capped a busy day at the Louisville football complex. Thursday morning, Strong received big recruiting news out of Miami when Norland standouts Teko Powell and Brandon Snell both pledged to the Cardinals.

Frazier, who runs a 4.5 forty and had offers from Clemson, NC State and Kentucky, fills a position of need for Strong's defense. The Louisville coach lamented his program's lack of depth at corner throughout spring practice, and Frazier could help right away at that position next season.

Frazier, who camped at Louisville last year, is described as a, "silky smooth, fluid corner with great hips." College coaches like his recovery speed, toughness and ability to mix it up with wide receivers on the line of scrimmage.

As a junior, Frazier made 41 tackles and five interceptions on defense. Frazier was an All-Region selection in 2010.
