One of the top cornerback prospects in Ohio, Edmondson was expected to attend Louisville's camp this month but didn't. After a recent talk with Louisville assistant Larry Slade, Edmondson plans to make his first official visit to UofL for the Cardinals season opener against Murray State.
"I'll be down there for an official visit September 1," Edmondson said. "My uncle really wants me to go there so he scheduled for me to go down there and visit them. He has a good relationship with the coaches and talks to them a lot. He feels that I could have a big impact on Louisville's program."
Edmondson, who has BCS offers from Nebraska, Purdue and Illinois, has strong interest in Charlie Strong's program.
"I'm interested in Louisville," Edmondson said. "I like the coaching staff. Their resumes are all excellent."
"Michigan State said they love my film and the defensive coordinator and defensive back coach want me on the team, but they have to take it up with Coach Mark Dantonio," Edmondson said. "They're supposed to let me know about an offer before July 14."
