Strong talks FIU; Injuries

Louisville coach Charlie Strong, who wants to see better offensive rhythm against Florida International, hopes to get a few players back from injury Friday night. InsideTheVille.com has video of Strong's FIU pre-game press conference.

Mario Benavides and B.J. Butler will not play Friday vs. Florida International, according to Louisville coach Charlie Strong.

Wide receiver Josh Bellamy sustained a hamstring injury in the first half vs. Murray State and is "day-to-day" for FIU. Strong said he's hopeful Bellamy will play this week.

Sophomore defensive tackle Roy Philon, who did not play in the season-opener, will be available Friday against Florida International.

Sophomore defensive tackle Brandon Dunn will be evaluated this week before a determination is made about his status against FIU.

Strong said there are no concerns about quarterback Will Stein's ankle and he'll be ready to play against FIU.

Strong says a major key against FIU is containing all-purpose threat T.Y. Hilton, a dangerous wide receiver/return man.

Strong expects FIU to blitz and pressure ‘a lot' Friday night. "Their defense is a lot like ours," said Strong. "They try to disrupt rhythm."
