Paul Petrino visits Tallahassee

In ITV's continuing look at the numerous junior prospects in Tallahassee that the Cardinals coaching staff have expressed interest, we take a look at a few of the players that Coach Paul Petrino recently visited.

Coach Paul Petrino recently made Louisville's initial recruiting visit to Tallahassee. One stop was to Leon High School, home to Thad Jones and Micah Morgan, two players ITV has recently introduced our visitors to.

Paul visited with Micah Morgan, Thad Jones and Antwon Thompson during his visit to Leon HS. All three are standout defensive backs at Leon and have received a number of visits this spring.

In addition to Louisville, Morgan has received visits from Syracuse, Florida and Iowa State.

Jones has also been visited by Miami, Syracuse, Florida, Iowa St, Southern Mississippi, Florida State, LSU and South Carolina.

Coaches from Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Iowa St, Southern Miss, Central Michigan, Duke and Northwestern have also stopped by to visit with Thompson.

According to ITV sources, we have learned that Coach Petrino made it clear that the Cardinals will recruit each player heavily. We were also informed that Louisville's secondary coach Joe Whitt Jr., will soon be making a stop in Tallahassee to further visit with the players.

As further evidence of their abilities, Antwon Thompson and Micah Morgan were recently nominated for the PREP-STAR Pre-season All-American Team.

Stay tuned to ITV as we continue to introduce more athletes from the Tallahassee area, as well as who the coaches are visiting.
