Four-star 2013 PF visiting Louisville

Malik Price-Martin is receiving heavy interest from several top programs, and has one unofficial visit set up.

Four-star forward Malik Price-Martin was one of the top performers at the Adidas Superstar Showcase over the weekend. The 6-foot-8 versatile forward showed off his high level athleticism as well as improved skill game. Now Price-Martin is getting ready for an upcoming unofficial visit.

Over the summer Price-Martin played with the Florida Rams and then also represented USA Basketball in Europe. For Price-Martin he was happy with how the summer went.

"It was a good summer," said Price-Martin. "It started off shaky, but as the summer went along it got better."

He continued about his USA Basketball experience by saying, "It was a good experience. I went over to Italy and it was good over there. People treat the USA really different."

When it comes to his recruitment, several schools have been talking to him and coming to evaluate him at his high school.

"Louisville has been down a few times, Miami and Florida State, and talked to the Ohio State coaches a few times as well," said Price-Martin. "I am scheduled to go to Midnight Madness at Louisville."

For Price-Martin, this trip to Louisville will give him his first chance to see the new YUM! Center.

"I want to see the new area," said Price-Martin of why he chose to visit Louisville. "I have heard great stuff about it, so I want to check it out for myself."

Price-Martin's older brother, Jeremy Cash, is a safety on the Ohio State football team, and so far he has been telling Price-Martin good things about Ohio State.

"He says it is a good place and a good environment," Price-Martin explained. "I am supposed to go up there in the future to see the campus."

When it comes to the two Florida schools, Price-Martin is just working to get as much information on them as possible.

"I like Miami and I am anxious to see how they do with their new coach," said Price-Martin. "I don't know too much about Florida State, but I want to go up there for a visit."

For now Price-Martin is in no hurry to make a decision. He says after making his official visits next year he will sit down with his coaches and his family work to come to a college choice, but he is in no hurry to make a commitment.
