"My visit was real nice," Wilson said. "The arena was like an NBA arena and I've never seen an arena like that before. I liked the little Hall of Fame and they showed me the luxury rooms. They have a good coaching staff. Jerry Smith went there and he was like a big brother to me and he was always telling me Coach (Rick) Pitino was a good coach and he'd get me to the next level."
Louisville assistant Wyking Jones showed Wilson around the Cardinals facilities.
"He's the point man on my recruitment," Wilson said. "He used to be with Nike and he was the one that got our AAU team the Nike deal. So he watched me grow up and I got a call (from Louisville) after the Florida Showcase in July and they told me that they wanted to start recruiting me. I know they're coming to Milwaukee in two weeks to watch me play."
A three-star prospect ranked the No. 26 point guard in his class nationally, Wilson said Louisville likes his game.
"They like the way I attack and run the team," Wilson said. "They said they like my game a lot and they told me to keep working on my game hard."
"Memphis has been recruiting me hard," Wilson said. "Marquette stopped in at school. Minnesota, Iowa, Virginia Tech, DePaul, they've all been on me a lot. Those five schools have offered me."
Wilson said Marquette, the hometown team, and Iowa are recruiting him the hardest right now.
"I like the coaching staff," Wilson said of Marquette. "My big cousin goes there (Jamil Wilson). Coach Buzz (Williams) is a good coach and it is right next door. So I've been looking at Marquette since I was younger. They've got a good coaching staff and one of my AAU teammates committed there."
