According to Mohamed Tangara's guardian and AAU coach, the 6'9 PF enjoyed a great visit to the University of Louisville campus on Thursday.
"He really enjoyed the visit," Davis told ITV. "He thinks he could really fit in well there."
Davis once again reaffirmed Louisville as the favorite for Tangara despite the fact that no commitment was made during the visit.
"Louisville would have to be the leader," Davis again told ITV on Friday afternoon. "He really thinks Louisville is a special place."
Davis also told ITV that Tangara will make an official visit to UofL next fall, even if he verbally committed to the Cards before that time.
Davis indicated that Tangara is a key component of the Cards 2004 recruiting class. He mentioned that Tangara is very excited that the Cards will have 6'10 Nouha Diakite, a native of France, on the team when Tangara would join the fold. Tangara, originally from Mali by way of France, likes the fact that he'd be able to develop a relationship with someone with the same background and from the same country at UofL.
"If I'm a Louisville fan, I'd be very encouraged," Davis told ITV.
While Davis doesn't think Tangara will commit at the Nike Camp in July, he also wouldn't rule it out.
Stay tuned to ITV for the latest on Tangara's recruitment.
