Junior Prospect: Ed Hunt

One of the priorities for the next recruiting class appears to be offensive lineman. ITV spoke with offensive tackle Ed Hunt of Pleasant (OH) High School recently.

Offensive linemen appear to be a priority for recruiting this season and the Cardinals coaching staff is making contact with a number of talented linemen. Ed Hunt is one that the staff has all ready made an impression on.

"I attended their junior day," Hunt said of his unofficial visit to the Louisville football complex. "It was pretty nice there. I really liked everything that I saw."

The 6'3, 282-pound senior to be attends Pleasant High School in Prospect, Ohio, which is located in central Ohio.

Hunt lined up as an offensive tackle his entire junior season and he told me that he prefers playing along the offensive line.

"I've played some defensive tackle, but I hope to play offensive tackle," said Hunt.

A true student-athlete, Hunt first mentioned that he will research to see what a school offers in his chosen field prior to making a decision.

"I want to see what classes the school offers," said Hunt who anticipates majoring in Education. "I will also look at what type of football tradition they have."

Hunt described himself as a player that doesn't "scream" as a way to lead his fellow teammates. "I'm a silent leader. I will do everything to help out team as much as I can."

In addition to the Cardinals, Cincinnati, Toledo Kentucky Wisconsin and Ohio U. have expressed interest in Hunt's services.

When asked about potential early favorites, Hunt listed Louisville, Toledo and Cincinnati. "I've been to each one and liked what I saw at each place."
