"Some colleges have talked to me about playing offensive tackle," said Davidson. "Last year I was 262 pounds, but I got into the weight room and got my strength and speed up."
Davidson has the versatility that coaches love, because he gives them several options with his size and speed. At T.R. Miller High School, his first option is at tight end. "We run the ball mostly. I caught 15 passes last year, and every one of them was for a 1st down or a touchdown. I deep snap also. I've been snapping for punts for 2 years already, and we've never had a punt blocked. I started snapping for field goals last year too."
Davidson has been busy already this summer, and he will be attending more camps over the next two months. "I've gone to Alabama and MTSU already. I'm planning on going to Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, and maybe Southern Miss and Mississippi State. The last two aren't final yet. I've gotten offers from Louisville, MTSU, and Mississippi State. I don't really have any favorites right now. I want to keep my options open and take a look at all of the colleges."
Davidson will get a good look at several colleges this summer, and colleges will take a good look at him. Not only because of his physical ability, but because he is a 3.4 GPA student and a member of the Honor Society. His 24 on his ACT makes him fully eligible, but he wants to improve on his 1st test score.
"I really want to take a look at academics and campus life, so I can make a good decision on where I want to spend the next four years of my life."
