2004 Prospect Update: Ryan Fogle

Conner (KY) High School linebacker Ryan Fogle updates ITV on the progress of his recruitment.

Conner High School, located in Northern Kentucky, is home to an impressive linebacker prospect in Ryan Fogle.

Fogle (6'2, 215) made the trip down I-71 earlier this spring to attend Louisville's junior day and to observe a practice. Ryan informed me on Thursday evening that he will once again be making the short drive to visit the Cardinals football complex for a second time on an upcoming unofficial visit.

"I loved it," said Fogle of his earlier visit to U of L. "It's a great campus. I'd love to go there!"

Last weekend the 1st Team All-Northern Kentucky selection from a year ago, visited the campus of Conference USA rival Cincinnati for their Senior Day.

"It was nice, but they have a lot of construction going on, so it was a bit of a mess," commented Fogle. "They are building a new athletic facility, so it should be nice."

Also a standout baseball player, Fogle was recently disappointed when Conner was upset in the region semifinals by Covington Holy Cross.

In addition to the interest expressed by Louisville, Ryan informed me that he is hearing the most from Cincinnati and Western Kentucky, but has yet to receive an offer.

As a junior, Fogle completed the season by recording 126 tackles, including 13 for a loss and 5 sacks. He was named to the Cincinnati Enquirer All-Star team, as well as All-Conference and All-Region.

He benches 385-pounds and has recorded a 40 yard dash speed of 4.7.
