Georgia RB lists Louisville among leaders

RB Anthony Edwards of Riverdale High School in Georgia is a big, quick running back that can run between the tackles. He currently lists the Cardinals among his favorites.

Anthony Edwards is a big, fast running back at 5-11 and 208 pounds with a 4.56 forty. He helped lead Riverdale to the playoffs last season, and he is hoping for a deeper run this year. Edwards had 863 yards rushing and nine touchdowns as a junior, and he is set for a big senior season.

"We lost to Valdosta in the playoffs," said Edwards. "Last year I played offense and defense. I played some defensive end, defensive tackle, and outside linebacker as well as running back. I also wrestle and run track. I am the three time county champion in wrestling. I run the 110 hurdles, 4x100 and the triple jump in track. I don't think I'm going to wrestle this year though. I want to concentrate on working out for football next winter."

Edwards has been working out this summer in preparation of the coming season. He has been busy at camps across the south.

"I just got back from Louisville and MTSU. I'm going to the Georgia Tech camp in July. My favorite teams right now would probably be MTSU, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, Louisville, LSU, and Florida. I'm going to the Georgia Tech camp next month too."
