Jacksonville, Fla. sack specialist Marquis Haynes made an unofficial visit to Louisville last month and has the Cardinals at the top of his list of favorites.

"I enjoyed hanging out with everybody and meeting the football players," Haynes told InsideTheVille.com after his visit during spring practice. "They feel like I can help them at defensive end because I can bring the pressure."

The 6'3, 220 pound Haynes, who recorded 21 sacks as a junior, holds offers from Louisville, USF, West Virginia, FIU and Minnesota.

"I like Louisville a lot," Haynes said. "It feels like I could be home there. I like the coaches. They will treat me the same way as the coaches at my school. Coach Strong told me about how great it was for me to come up there on a visit. He told me how he coached and that players come first."

An Associated Press first team Class 2A Florida selection last season, Haynes is considering making a college decision this summer.

"I'll probably make a decision after the spring," Haynes said. "Louisville's my favorite because they've worked hard recruiting me. I talk to Coach [Ron] Dugans a lot."
