2013 Commits

2013 commits Kyle Bolin and Terrence Ross, a three-star safety from Florida, both took part in Louisville's football camp Saturday, while Keith Towbridge, a 6'4, 245 pound tight end from Ohio, and Jacarthy Mack, an athletic 6-3, 220 pound linebacker from Georgia, made unofficial campus visits but didn't participate in camp.

On Ross, a source told InsideTheVille.com that he made quite an impression with his effort during camp drills Saturday. Sounds like the 6-2, 190 pound Apopka, Fla., defensive back has a bright future with the Cardinals.

With four commits already on campus, Charlie Strong added a fifth Saturday when Georgia offensive lineman Chandler Bridges verbally committed to the Cardinals. Bridges, 6-4, 270, also had offers from Southern Miss, Youngstown State and Western Carolina, and was receiving strong interest from Kentucky, Cincinnati, Indiana and Wake Forest.

2013 - Uncommitted Prospects

Two prospects Charlie Strong would love to add to Louisville's 2013 commitment list - five-star Trinity wide receiver James Quick and four-star Trinity defensive end Jason Hatcher - made unofficial campus visits, but didn't participate in camp.

Four-star DE Jason Hatcher has visited Louisville each of the past two weekends.
Quick, Scout.com's No. 3 ranked wide receiver nationally, has narrowed his list down to three schools - Louisville, Ohio State and Oregon. The frontrunner for Kentucky Mr. Football honors, Quick appears to be Louisville's top remaining offensive target in the Class of 2013.

Hatcher, Scout.com's No. 3 ranked defensive end nationally, made his second unofficial visit to Louisville this month. The 6-3, 240 pound Hatcher, who also visited Louisville last weekend, has narrowed his list to five programs - Louisville, Ohio State, Tennessee, South Carolina and USC.

Two other notable uncommitted prospects - Orlando (FL) Edgewater defensive back Troy Dunnell and Pensacola (FL) West Florida Tech defensive back Demetrius Smith - took part in camp. Dunnell, a 6-2, 195 pound prospect, is rated the No. 47 prospect in the Orlando Sentinel's Central Florida Super60. He's still awaiting his first scholarship offer. Smith received an offer from UAB last weekend.

2014 Prospects

Louisville had several 2014 prospects participating in camp Saturday, including Cole Ousley, John Wolford, Daniel Gresham and Darryl Long.

Five-star WR James Quick visited Louisville Saturday.
Cole Ousley, a 6-3, 175 pound quarterback from Paducah, Ky., led his high school team to a 10-3 record as a sophomore, throwing for 3,517 yards and 52 touchdowns. Considered one of the top quarterbacks in his class, Ousley has received early interest from Louisville, Mississippi State and LSU.

John Wolford, a 6-2, 210 pound quarterback from Jacksonville, Fla., passed for 2,669 yards and 35 touchdowns last season with only three interceptions. A versatile quarterback, Wolford also rushed for 551 yards and 8 touchdowns. A big-time prospect, Wolford is receiving interest from Alabama, Notre Dame, Florida, Miami and Louisville, among others.

Daniel Gresham, a 5'11, 225 pound running back from Fort Worth, TX, rushed for 584 yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging more than seven yards per carry. Gresham is receiving early interest from Texas A&M, Missouri, Michigan and Alabama. He has also visited Oklahoma and Baylor this spring. ,p> Darryl Long, a 6-5, 220 pound tight end from Westerville, OH, is hearing from Michigan State, Penn State, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Iowa State and Michigan.

Though he didn't work out, big-time Knoxville, TN safety Todd Kelly made an unofficial visit to campus. Kelly holds several SEC offers and received an offer from Louisville Saturday.

Sunday Camp Update

Kyle Bolin attended camp again Sunday and made a strong impression with his footwork, accuracy and touch. He showed deft touch on a deep fade route during passing drills Sunday morning and is a big-time quarterback prospect for the Louisville program.

Louisville offensive line commit Skylar Lacy participated in camp Sunday. Lacy will need to improve his pass protection skills, but at 6-7, 275 certainly looks the part. His father came down to camp with him and raved about the straight-forward approach of Charlie Strong and his coaching staff during the recruiting process.

Finnesse Middleton, a 6'1, 245 pound defensive end from Gadsden, Ala., has been in camp both days and earned a spot on Louisville's 2013 radar with his performance this weekend. We didn't see an offensive lineman who could stay in front of the quick, but undersized defensive lineman during morning drills. Middleton might not get an offer from Louisville because of his size, but the Cardinals definitely have him on the radar screen.
