Louisville hoops checking in on a new target

The University of Louisville basketball coaches are on the road recruiting this week and several new names will emerge as targets. One of those new names is a big post player from the state of Texas.

University of Louisville assistant coach Wyking Jones is spending some time in the state of Texas this week.

Jones is checking in on a couple of prospects, including a new name on the Cardinals' recruiting radar – Elbert Robinson.

The 6-foot-11, 270-pound Robinson is ranked as the No. 65 player in the Class of 2014 and attends Garland, Tx, Lakeview Centennial High School.

According to Fox SportsNext national analyst Brian Snow, "Robinson has soft hands, nimble feet, and knows how to carve space down low with his big frame."

The schools that have been linked to the Robinson recruitment prior to this week were Alabama, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Texas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma among several others. Texas and Kansas State watched him on Monday.

Jones also stopped in to check out No. 3 '14 prospect Emmanuel Mudiay in Arlington, Tx.
