"I had a great time," Holton told Jason Higdon of Scout.com. "I didn't get to talk to coach Strong because of the press conference but I did get to talk to the linebacker coach, Coach Brian Jean-Mary. He will be coming down to watch me play. Overall I had a great time and hopefully I will be able to get an offer from Louisville soon."
During his visit, Holton took in the Cardinals 39-34 win and learned what the school has to offer for his study of interest.
"One of the best parts was that I had a chance to talk to an academic advisor on my studying arts," he told Higdon. "I also like the fact that the team didn't give up when things weren't going their way. That showed me teams shouldn't sleep on Louisville because they are on the up rise."
Holton earned All-Area honorable mention honors as a defensive end following his sophomore season.
"I played linebacker in our first game and I had a great game," said Holton, who registered 13 tackles and forced 3 fumbles in his team's season-opening win. "I played defensive end for the entire time our last game. Schools are mostly recruiting me as a linebacker, but some are looking at me as defensive end."
While it's still early in the recruiting process, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound junior is attracting from a number of major programs.
