Rajon Rondo and the Derek Smith All-Stars head to Las Vegas today for the adidas Big Time Tournament.  The DSAS will depart Louisville at 7:15 a.m. and are scheduled to arrive in Las Vegas at 10:25.  Both the 17-under and 16-under teams are scheduled to play Tuesday afternoon.

Rondo leads DSAS in Las Vegas

The Derek Smith 17's will face the Cleveland Basketball Club (Matt Terwilliger, Jamar Butler) at 3:40 in the main gym at Durango High School.  The DSAS will play twice on Wednesday.  They'll face Dinos Trigonis' Belmont Shore squad led by Duke commit Demarcus Nelson in the small gym at Durango High. (Note:  Lorenzo Wade has played for BS in the past and may pay for them at the Big Time).  Later that evening, they'll face the Hunting Park (Philadelphia) Warriors at 6:20 at Green Valley High.

The DSAS will play at least one game Thursday morning depending on their performance against teams in their own pool the previous two days.  For example, should the DSAS finish third in pool play they would play in the "B" bracket tournament.  If they win their pool, they'd play in the "open" division tournament.

The 16's open Tuesday evening at Silverado High School's Main Gym at 5:00 p.m. against Pump N Run HotShots (CA).  They'll take on the T.A. Eagles (TX) at 11:40 Wednesday morning at Silverado's small gym and square off against Emerald City Chaffey (WA) at 9:00 that night in the same gym.
