10 U of L targets in Scout300 for 2014

The University of Louisville football recruiting has picked up in recent years with the Cardinals signing some elite prospects. U of L is after some of the top players in the country and the staff is showing that again in the Class of 2014.

The University of Louisville football staff is after some of the best prospects in the country in the Class of 2014. The Cardinals are listed on 10 of the prospects listed in the new Scout.com/FoxSportsNext top 300 for '14.

The listing was released on Wednesday and includes three U of L targets from the state of Kentucky in the junior class.

Conner quarterback Drew Barker is ranked No. 116, while Bowling Green wide receiver Nacarius Fant is ranked No. 157 and Trinity quarterback Reggie Bonnafon checks in at No. 240 in the updated rankings.

Barker and Bonnafon both have offers from U of L, while Fant has been to campus for an unofficial visit this fall.

The highest ranked player listing U of L is Miami Booker T. Washington cornerback Treon Harris, who is ranked No. 87.

Also listing U of L is No. 147 Dominique Booth, a wide receiver from Indianapolis Pike, No. 163 Darius West, a safety from Lima, Ohio, Central Catholic, and No. 170 DeShone Kizer, a quarterback from Toledo Central Catholic.

No. 207 Todd Kelly, a safety from Knoxville Webb School, No. 221 Quinton Flowers, a quarterback from Miami Jackson, and No. 264 Bryson Allen-Williams, an outside linebacker from Ellenwood, Ga., also lists U of L.
