From the locker room: U of L whips Missouri

The second-ranked University of Louisville men's basketball team shot a season-high 49 percent from the field and forced 23 turnovers in an 84-61 win over No. 13 Missouri on Friday night. The Cardinals now face No. 5 Duke in the title game of the Battle 4 Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas. Here are a few quotes:

"We did it (made a run) with our two best guys (Peyton Siva and Gorgui Dieng) on the bench in foul trouble. That speaks volumes for what type of players we have. I said all along that Luke Hancock needed to get away from our fans. They put so much heat on him and he would start making those three-pointers."

''We consider it a big treat to play (Duke) for a championship,. We feel we got the guys to play in that championship and win.''

''Our guys played a heck of a game. 'We had five guys in double figures. We had serious foul trouble and our bench gave us a big lift. That was exciting.''

"Russ is a home run player. Every possession you really have your heart in your mouth, but he really hits a lot of home runs. He bothers everybody, and he allows Peyton to do a lot of good things out there because he is so intense and Peyton knows he is going to gamble. But you have got to give Russ his free reign.''

U OF L GUARD Russ Smith

"Peyton is my teammate, I feel like he's the best point guard in the country. But all that matters is that we keep getting those wins."

"We tried to contain Phil Pressey, he's one of the best PG in the country and we tried to contain him. We did a good job of turning him over and we shot the ball a lot better today."
