Seven members of the University of Louisville football team have earned All-Conference honors in the Big East Conference, including quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who was named Offensive Player of the Year.
Bridgewater helped the Cardinals to a 10-2 record and berth in the AllState Sugar Bowl, while throwing for 3,452 yards and 25 touchdowns. He helped the Cardinals to the co-Big East title game last week while beating Rutgers, playing with a broken left wrist and sprained left ankle.
U of L coach Charlie Strong was also named co-Big East Coach of the Year, along with Rutgers' Kyle Flood. Strong the honor won for the second straight year.
Bridgewater was joined on the first-team All-Conference squad by cornerback Adrian Bushell, center Mario Benavides and wide receiver DeVante Parker.
Bushell was on the team for the second straight year.
Linebacker Preston Brown and safeties Calvin Pryor and Hakeem Smith were all named to the second-team All-Conference team.
