Daniel Hamilton set to visit Louisville

Cardinal Authority has the news on the first confirmed visitor the University of Louisville men's basketball staff will be hosting for the Dec. 29 game against Kentucky. The Cardinals will host one of the top small forwards in the country.

The University of Louisville men's basketball staff is expected to use the Dec. 29 game against the University of Kentucky as a major recruiting event.

The Cardinals are expected to host several key prospects.

Cardinal Authority and Scout.com has confirmed the first prospect who has his visit set up – 2014 California small forward Daniel Hamilton.

The 6-foot-7, 175-pound Hamilton is the brother of former Texas star and current NBA player Jordan Hamilton. He's ranked as the No. 34 player overall and the No. 11 small forward in the '14 class by Scout.com.

Hamilton attends Bellflower, Calif., St. John Bosco where his coach Derrick Taylor confirmed he will be at the U of L-UK game.

An AAU player for the Dream Vision program, Hamilton also has offers and interest from Baylor, Kansas, San Diego State, UCLA, USC, Texas El-Paso and Washington among several other schools.

Hamilton is averaging 14 points and 9.5 rebounds a game so far this season. His brother Isaac, is a senior and has signed to play at UTEP.
