Lacy "can't wait" to get to Louisville

Indianapolis Southport offensive lineman made an official visit to the University of Louisville this week and confirmed his commitment to the Cardinals. Lacy, who has been committed since May, bonded with some of his future teammates and had a chance to sit down and talk with the U of L coaches.

Skylar Lacy had been to the University of Louisville a bunch of times and already made his commitment to the Cardinals in May.

So on his official visit this weekend the offensive lineman from Indianapolis Southport was hoping to hang out with some of his future teammates and talk to the coaches about where he might fit in.

Lacy said that's exactly what happened. He confirmed that he's "100 percent committed" to U of L and sill sign with the Cardinals next month.

"It was awesome," Lacy said. "My dad and I had a chance to sit down with the coaches and I am 100 percent committed to them.

"Everybody was real cool and I liked hanging out with some of my future teammates. It seemed like we were already a team. We got a long so well."

The 6-foot-7, 305-pound Lacy said he talked to the coaches about his future and said he "thinks I can benefit from a redshirt year," but will try to get on the field as a freshman. He said the coaches would set him up with a workout plan when he signs.

"I can't wait to get there," he added.
