"Awesome" visit for Towbridge

Toledo (OH) Central Catholic tight end Keith Towbride, who committed to Louisville in April, returned home from his official visit on Monday. Cardinal Authority has an update...

Due to playing in a Friday night basketball game, Dayton (OH) Central Catholic tight end Keith Towbridge started his official visit a day later than most.

"I had a big game on Friday night, so we came in on Saturday morning," Towbridge told Cardinal Authority on Monday. "I just got home."

A Louisville commit since the spring, Towbridge (6'5, 250) spent the weekend touring the U of L campus, visiting the Muhammad Ali Center, getting to know some of his future teammates and visiting with coaches.

Dominique Brown and Calvin Pryor served as hosts for Towbridge.

"It was awesome," said the 3-star prospect. "We did a lot, but I really liked hanging out with the guys."

"The coaches told me to get ready mentally for when I get there to get started. There's a lot of things to do once I get there, so I need to be mentally prepared for it all."

Towbridge, who will sign his Letter of Intent on National Signing Day at his school, will be back in Louisville for the Cardinals spring game.

As a senior, he helped guide his school to the state title. He finished with 28 catches for 410 yards and seven touchdowns this season.
