Indiana lineman looking for Louisville offer

Fishers, Ind., offensive lineman Drew Broughton is starting to generate some attention on the recruiting front. He'll attend Louisville's Junior Day on Saturday and is hoping to leave an impression on the U of L coaching staff.

With only one scholarship offer at this point, Fishers, Ind., offensive lineman Drew Broughton is hoping to pick up a few more in the coming weeks.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Broughton is generating some more interest from schools but is hoping one of those offers could come from Louisville.

Broughton has been in contact with U of L coach Charlie Strong and on Saturday will make a visit to the Cardinals' campus for Junior Day.

"I am looking forward to meeting their coaches and talking with them about their plan for me and what their goals are for U of L," Broughton said. "I want to see their facilities and eventually come away with an offer."

Broughton said Louisville would be a favorite of his because Strong has "turned them into a national contender," and also because U of L is "a great school and close to home."

A lineman with great footwork and an explosive step off the ball, Broughton said he has to work on his hand placement and pass blocking.

Broughton had 33 pancake blocks as a junior at Fishers.

His lone offer at this point is from Massachusetts, while he's also hearing from Akron, Central Michigan, Bowling Green and Ball State. He went on his first Junior Day visit last weekend to Bowling Green.
