The University of Louisville has both its men's and women's athletic programs holding top-10 positions in the Capital One Cup standings.
Fresh off the men's basketball team's third NCAA national title on Monday, Louisville jumped from 42nd to second in the men's standings. The championship earned the Cardinals 60 points, and the men's soccer team's third-straight Elite Eight appearance accounted for six additional points to give Louisville a current total of 66.
The women's program is tied for ninth with three other schools. Louisville's women's basketball team advanced to the national championship for the second time in five years, finishing the season with a 29-9 overall record. It's the fifth 20-win season under head coach Jeff Walz.
Louisville is just one of three schools with both men's and women's programs in the top 10. Oregon and Notre Dame also have each program in the top 10.
