Louisville lands commitment No. 14

University of Louisville football coach Charlie Strong has landed another verbal commitment. The Cardinals picked up No. 14 - and 12 in just over a month - on Saturday afternoon. Cardinal Authority has the latest on the Cardinals recruiting success.

Union (SC) County wide receiver T.J. Foster made a visit to the University of Louisville last month for the spring game.

Foster told Cardinal Authority then he liked what he saw and didn't wait too long to act on it, giving the Cardinals a commitment on Saturday afternoon.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Foster also had an offer from East Carolina and became the 14th member of the Class of 2014 for the Cardinals.

Foster has only played football for just over a year, but his play, especially during Union County's playoff run, has grabbed the attention of college coaches.

As a junior, Foster caught 29 passes for 590 yards and 4 touchdowns.

"T.J. was the fourth guy in our wide receiver group heading into this past season," Union County head coach Steve Taneyhill told Scout.com. "He was our best wide receiver in the playoffs. He's 6'3, 175 pounds and has great hands. He catches nothing in on his body. He's not a burner but he's kinda like that basketball player out there."
