Scout.com three-star wide receiver Blake Bone of Woodruff (SC) High School took the opportunity to get a feeling of how U of L stacks up against the many others that are recruiting him.
"It was nice. They showed us the dorm rooms and took us around campus. I liked it a lot."
Bone also had the opportunity to visit with Charlie Strong and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans.
"I went into his office and we talked about a lot of things," Bone told Cardinal Authority. "I also talked to Coach Dugans and we talked about the depth chart and about what receivers that they have on campus right now. It was pretty nice."
At 6-foot-5, 195-pounds, Bone is a tall target that can create matchup problems for the seccondary, something that could help him see the field early in his college career.
"They told me that I would have the opportunity to come in and play," he said. "I like that they run a pro-style offense and they have a great set of coaches."
As a junior, Bone hauled in 65 catches for 1,150 yards and 15 touchdowns.
With a scholarship offer list that has climbed into double-digits, Bone is one of the top prospects in South Carolina. In addition to Louisville, Bone has collected offers from Arkansas, Central Florida, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Marshall, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ole Miss and South Carolina.
With so many options, and more likely to come, Bone admits that it's difficult to pick a few favorites from among the group.
"I couldn't say right now, but pretty soon I'll be making the decision to narrowing things down in the next couple of weeks," he explained. "As for committing, I'll probably do it during my senior season."
Bone has plans to visit a few others during the coming weeks, including Georgia Tech, Nebraska and South Carolina.
