Cincinnati Elder tight end Devin Pike said he has narrowed his list in the recruiting process to five schools.
Pike, who hopes to make a decision before his senior season begins, made a visit to Louisville last weekend and spent some time with the coaching staff.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Pike didn't participate in camp but came last weekend to U of L during camp. He said he "hung out with the coaches."
Pike said U of L, Virginia, Illinois, Minnesota and Boston College are the school's he's looking at in the process. He was scheduled to visit Boston College this weekend and wasn't sure when he would make a trip to Minnesota.
Already a visitor several times to the U of L campus, Pike said he has "been impressed," with the school and the coaches.
"I like Louisville a lot," he said. "It's close to home, it's a great place with good coaches and they're going into the ACC."
Pike is the younger brother of former Cincinnati quarterback Tony Pike. He played his freshman year at Reading High School and then sat out a year after transferring to Elder.
Pike had 25 receptions for 278 yards in seven games last season at Elder.
