On Monday, Cannon ended the recruiting process.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound wide receiver/safety has given the Cardinals a verbal commitment. He's expected to talk about his decision at a press conference later this week and SCPrepNation.com will be there.
"They've always been high on my list," Cannon told Cardinal Authority last week. "It was great there and I loved the campus. They're one of my top, top choices."
Cannon, who led South Carolina in touchdown receptions and interceptions as a junior, also has offers from Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Boston College, South Carolina and North Carolina State.
As a sophomore, the versatile Cannon rushed for over 700 yards and eight touchdowns. He also caught a TD pass, averaged 4.5 tackles a game and had five pass break-ups and two forced fumbles.
Cannon was a first-team Division I-AA All-State selection as a junior after catching 60 passes for 1,007 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also had 108 tackle and eight interceptions, returning four for touchdowns.
Cannon joins Texas running back Daniel Gresham as the two commitments of the day for the Cardinals, brining the total to 16 for the class.
