Sawyer planning official visit to Louisville

Kendall Sawyer of Lehigh Acres (Fla) East Lee County High School has an impressive list of scholarship offers and the four-star cornerback plans to make an official visit to Louisville later this year.

Kendall Sawyer of Lehigh Acres (Fla.) East Lee County is one of the top prospects in the Sunshine State, as programs from the ACC and SEC have both extended scholarship offers.

"I have a bunch of offers, so I have a lot of choices," said Sawyer over the weekend.

The 6-foot, 180-pound Sawyer, who is rated among as a top 30 cornerback and a four-star prospect by Scout.com, claims no clear favorites at this point.

"I don't have any favorites," he said. "Everybody is still the same."

Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina, Ole Miss, South Florida are among his offers. He keeps up with many of the coaches recruiting him via social media.

"I talk with them on Facebook and things," he said.

While Sawyer isn't too familiar with what Louisville has to offer at this point, he tells Cardinal Authority that he plans to use one of his official visits to learn more about the Cardinals program.

"I don't know to much about them yet," he said. "I'm going to try to take one of my official visits up there after school starts. I'll learn about it when I get there for a visit."

With interest continuing to climb, Sawyer isn't planning on an early commitment.

"I'm going to wait until after my senior season before I commit somewhere," he explained.
