DE Ramsey makes it No. 22 for Cardinals

The University of Louisville football team has landed commitment No. 22 and a second in two days with the pledge from Clayton, Ohio, defensive end Terry Ramsey. Cardinal Authority has the latest on the Ramsey commitment.

Clayton, Ohio, Northmont High School defensive end Terry Ramsey had made several visits to the University of Louisville campus.

On Sunday, the three-star Ramsey made another trip to U of L.

But this time he did more than look around, giving U of L coach Charlie Strong and his staff a verbal commitment.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound Ramsey picked the Cardinals over offers from Michigan, Michigan State, West Virginia, Kentucky, Nebraska, Indiana, Toledo and Minnesota.

As a junior, Ramsey had 44 tackles and a pair of sacks.

Ramsey gives U of L its 22nd pledge in the Class of 2014, including No. 7 from the state of Ohio. Cincinnati Elder tight end Devin Pike committed on Saturday.

He's the ninth commitment on the defensive side of the ball and now U of L has 19 commitments that are ranked as three-star prospects.
