Michael Dyer officially a Louisville Cardinal

Former Auburn University running back Michael Dyer is now a member of the University of Louisville football team. U of L coach Charlie Strong confirmed the addition to the roster on Monday afternoon. The Cardinals are preseason ranked No. 9 in the coaches' poll and begin camp on Tuesday night.

Michael Dyer is officially a member of the University of Louisville football team as Charlie Strong announced on Monday.

Dyer, who ran for 1,000-plus yards in two years at Auburn University, arrived in Louisville on Sunday night and is taking his physical on Monday.

The MVP of the BCS National title game in 2011 left Auburn and then was dismissed from Arkansas State before going to Arkansas Baptist College. Dyer will have two years of eligibility and is eligible this season.

Strong said Dyer will sign a behavioral contract.
