Last year was coined the "Year of the Cardinal" because of all of the success the University of Louisville athletic programs had on the courts and fields.
Now, Louisville is ready to continue that success.
U of L athletic director Tom Jurich told a sold-out crowd at the U of L Football Kickoff Luncheon that his goal is to have "Years of the Cardinals."

In volleyball, the Cardinals are coming off a 30-4 season and No. 4 RPI ranking heading into the new season. U of L is ranked No. 19 in the AVCA Coaches poll.
The Cardinals will play an Alumnae Game on Aug. 24 in Cardinal Arena before starting the season with seven straight games on the road. The home opener will be in the Active Ankle Challenge on Sept. 21.
