Chinanu Onuaku has narrowed his list of college options to a pair of schools.
The 6-foot-10, 250-pound center from Upper Marlboro, Md., Riverdale Baptist is expected to pick from either Louisville or Miami.
Several reports from the Maryland-area surfaced on Tuesday night when Onuaku called off an expected visit to Indiana. Cardinal Authority has confirmed he's narrowed his list to those two schools.
Onuaku made an official visit with his mother to U of L earlier this month and also made an official visit to Miami. He also visited Georgetown and had previously visited Maryland, but those two schools are no longer on his list.
Just recently turning 17, Onuaku played his spring and summer ball with D.C. Assault.
Louisville coaches watched Onuaku several times during the summer evaluation period and jumped into the mix in August, offering him a scholarship.
FoxSportsNEXT basketball recruiting analyst Rob Harrington evaluated Onuaku several times this summer and noted:
"The 6-10, 250-pound center is a physical rebounder who does his best work on the defensive glass," Harrington said. "He uses his size and strength to seal off would-be offensive rebounders.
"His footwork and low block offense remain a work in progress, but he's competitive head-up against nearly every big man in the class with just a few exceptions. As such, he'll big a major contributor at the next level."
Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on the recruitment.
