University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino hasn't done a ton of recruiting yet himself in the Class of 2016.
Pitino's staff has been evaluating prospects in that class and earlier this week, the U of L head coach went to see one of the school's top target in '16.
Pitino was in Miami and went to check out Miami Norland power forward Dewan Huell, a 6-foot-9, 200-pound highly regarded prospect. Assistant coach Mike Balado was with Pitino during the visit.
Team Breakdown coach Jordan Fair confirmed Balado had been to see all three, noting Pitino was expected to see Durham soon.
Huell has offers from U of L, Florida, Florida State, Mississippi and South Carolina and interest from a bunch of other schools.
Fair said Huell has been impressed with the coaches visiting, "Especially when you have the national champion head coach come by and see you."
The 6-10 Durham, who was tracked even before the summer by Balado, is ranked No. 17 by Scout.com in the '16 class and has at least 10 scholarship offers.
He has offers from U of L, Miami, Indiana, Florida State, South Florida, Florida State, Texas A&M, LSU, South Carolina and Mississippi.
Hester, who plans to go see U of L play this season when they are at South Florida, is a 6-foot-3 guard who has had a ton of schools into see him this month. Hester has offers from U of L, Miami, TCU, Ole Miss, USC and South Florida.
Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on the recruitment of all three top prospects from the Sunshine State.
