U of L commits picked for All-Star game

Three players committed to the University of Louisville and several other targets have been selected to compete in an All-Star game in Florida.

Three University of Louisville football commitments from the Class of 2014 and several other targets have been selected for he Nike Miami-Dade vs. Broward football All-Star game.

The 19th annual game will be played on Dec. 28 in Miramar, Fla.

U of L commitment Michael Johnson, a safety from Hialeah, Fla., Champagnat will be competing on the Miami-Dade team.

Two U of L commits - Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons wide receiver George Rushing and Fort Pierce Central defensive end Rashawn Shaw - will both compete on Team Florida.

Also competing in the game is U of L targets: Chad Thomas, a defensive end from Booker T. Washington and Miami commitment; Immokalee running back Dee Johnson and Fort Pierce Central linebacker Sharieff Rhaheed.

Louisville has 25 verbal commitments in the Class of 2014, including 10 from Florida.
