Cards put on a show in Red-White scrimmage

The defending national champion University of Louisville basketball team took to the floor for the first time in the 2013-14 season on Saturday. The Cardinals held a Red/White scrimmage before 8,280 fans at the KFC Yum! Center. Cardinal Authority was there and has this report from the locker room.

The University of Louisville basketball team looked quite impressive in its first showing of the 2013-14 season on Saturday.

The Cardinals had four players on each team score in double figures as the Red team beat the White team 95-80 before a crowd of 8,280.

Chane Behanan led the Red team with 25 points and 13 rebounds, while Russ Smith had 24 points, eight assists and five rebounds and Chris Jones chipped in 21 points, five rebounds and five assists.

On the White team, Montrezl Harrell led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Wayne Blackshear chipped in 20 points and nine boards.
