But the 6-foot-3, 170-pound Foster picked up good news this week.
Foster was one of about 60 players selected to participate in the Touchstone Energy Cooperative Bowl pitting the top seniors in South Carolina against each other on Dec. 4 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Union County coach Steve Taneyhill told GoUpState.com that "he hasn't had the statistical numbers like we hoped because our offense has struggled. He's a heck of a football player."
Foster has 22 catches for 338 yards and three touchdowns this season, while rushing two times for 30 yards and completing 2 of 3 passes for 49 yards and a touchdown. As a junior, Foster caught 29 passes for 590 yards and 4 TDs.
Foster is one of 25 commitments for the Cardinals in the Class of 2014. He visited for the spring game and committed in mid-May.
