U of L LBer commit having a huge season

Tallahassee, Fla., Lincoln High School linebacker Jeff Williams was one of the first commitments for the University of Louisville in the Class of 2014. Williams committed in April and is still excited about becoming a member of the program.

One of the first commitments in the Class of 2014 for the University of Louisville, Tallahassee, Fla., Lincoln linebacker Jeffrey Williams is still pumped about signing with the Cardinals in February.

"I speak to them weekly," Williams said. "They don't know it but I am very family oriented," he added noting the staff is the same way.

Williams said Lincoln is 6-4 on the season heading into the Class 7-A playoffs where it plays Cantonment, Fla., Tate this weekend.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Williams is having a big-time season. He has over 100 tackles, along with 10 tackles for a loss and five sacks.

Williams is ranked as the No. 87 outside linebacker in the country by Scout.com and isn't sure what position he will play at U of L .
