U of L commit leads team to Texas state title

University of Louisville running back commitment Daniel Gresham won a state championship over the weekend. Gresham led Fort Worth, Tx., All Saints to its second consecutive undefeated season and SPC small school championship.

Daniel Gresham will head to the University of Louisville this summer with back-to-back state championships on his resume.

The 5-foot-11, 225-pound Gresham led Fort Worth, Tx., All Saints Episcopal School to a second consecutive SPC small school title in Texas.

Gresham carried nine times for 129 yards, including a 79-yard touchdown run, as All Saints to a 42-7 win over Houston Christian.

"I talk to (running backs) coach (Kenny) Carter like once or twice a week on the phone and a ton on Facebook," Gresham said.

Gresham finished the season with 93 carries for 927 yards and 19 TDs.
