Chatter on Quentin Snider

The first day of the college basketball early signing period came and went without much suspense for University of Louisville basketball fans. All three committed players signed national letters-of-intent with the Cardinals. But on Thursday night, speculation started to brew about another addition to the Class of 2014. Cardinal Authority has the latest on the situation.

There's been plenty of speculation on the future of Ballard High School senior Quentin Snider on Thursday evening.

Snider, the state's top player, was committed to Louisville for two years but then backed off that commitment in July. He then committed to Illinois but now there's chatter he might be looking around again.

Cardinal Authority and Scout.com can confirm that Snider has been in contact with the Louisville coaching staff. There's no word of a decision tonight.

Cardinal Authority can also confirm that a decision from Wichita, Kan., Sunrise Academy big man Bakary Konate isn't expected this weekend. The 6-foot-11 Konate is from Mali and visited U of L last weekend.
