Springfield, Ohio, High School linebacker Guy Victoria only played in five games this season because of injuries.
But he made an impression in that short time.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Victoria had 55 tackles in those games and is now hearing from a bunch of schools, including Indiana, Louisville, Virginia, Tennessee, Akron, Arkansas and Pittsburgh.
On Saturday, Victoria was in Louisville checking out the Cardinals.
"Louisville started getting in contact a couple of months ago," Victoria said. "I had heard a lot about them with Teddy Bridgewater and this team, so I just wanted to come down and check them out.
"It was a great environment. It was pretty amazing, I liked it a lot."
While Springfield only went 1-9 with two senior teammates committed to Division I colleges, Victoria has a bright future.
As a junior, he played middle linebacker, outside linebacker and was also used as a standup defensive end, noting "I played all over."
Victoria said he "can't wait" to hear from U of L again and is hoping to maybe come back to see another game soon.
And a big reason was watching the defense.
"I love how they play," he said. "It was nice to see how they play that little hybrid 3-4, 4-3ish defense. They're a solid defense."
