Andre Godfrey has already been on three official visits.
The 6-foot, 180-pound safety from Miramar, Fla., High School tripped to Utah, Wisconsin and North Carolina State. He plans on making two more visits before making a decision with Louisville and UCLA those schools.
"I haven't scheduled it yet, but I plan on coming to Louisville," Godfrey said. "They will be part of my decision."
The No. 125 safety in the country in the Scout.com rankings, Godfrey has what he called a "very tough" choice on his hands in the end.
"It's quote difficult," he said. "And that's why I am probably waiting until signing day to make my decision. But knowing I can go in and play early in some great defensive schemes makes it real challenging.
"I am looking on my visits for the schools that separate themselves from the other. I like all of the schools on my list.
Godfrey told Scout.com in September that U of L, N.C. State and Wisconsin were his three leaders but has since added the other two schools.
Louisville has been in touch for "a long time" with Godfrey, who said he's attracted to the Cardinals for a bunch of reasons.
"And one of the main reasons is that I like the roster," he said. "They have a lot of Florida guys there. It makes a difference. I want to go somewhere I can be comfortable and I know some of those guys.
"I like the success they have had recently and the coaches. It's a program that continues to be on the rise."
Godfrey said he knows he has a tough decision. But for now he will focus on his Miramar team's playoff hopes.
Miramar is 11-0 and plays Deerfield Beach on Friday in the Class 8-A regional semifinals.
