Pitino watches '15 stars from Las Vegas

University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino went recruiting in Chicago on Saturday night. Pitino and assistant coach Wyking Jones were watching a pair of 2015 prospects from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman High School. Cardinal Authority has the latest.

A few hours after guiding his team to a 113-74 win over Louisiana-Lafayette, University of Louisville men's basketball coach Rick Pitino was in Chicago on the recruiting trail.

Pitino and assistant coach Wyking Jones were at the Chicago Elite Classic watching a pair of elite Class of 2015 prospects.

The two were watching Las Vegas Bishop Gorman standouts Stephen Zimmerman and Chase Jeter in a game against Chicago Curie.

The 7-foot Zimmerman is the No. 3 prospect in the '15 class in the Scout.com rankings. He holds an offer from U of L ans the Cardinals have been in the mix since last spring.

The 6-9, 215-pound Jeter recently picked up an offer from the Cardinals. Jeter is ranked as the No. 19 prospect in the '15 class.

Curie won the game but Zimmerman had 10 points and 13 rebounds in the contest.
