Fishers, Ind., Hamilton Southeastern High School wide receiver Cameron Polk is excited for the next few weeks.
And it has nothing to do with the holidays.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Polk said he's pumped about this weekend and the future as he makes his official visit to the University of Louisville on Saturday. He committed to U of L in June.
"I'm so excited for the visit," Polk said. "And even better, I will be there in January. I am really excited about it all."
Ranked as a top 10 prospect in Indiana by Scout.com, Polk is planning on enrolling in school in January. He would then be able to participate in spring practice.
While he's already committed and totally sold on U of L, Polk said he's excited to get to spend time with the coaches on his visit and watch the team in preparations for the Russell Athletic Bowl when he's on campus.
"I've been in contact with them through the phone," Polk said, adding his relationship with the coaches has been "just great."
Polk said his high school team was more of a run team this season, noting he "had a good year" for Hamilton SE.
