Cards set to host 10 visitors

The University of Louisville football team will have another major recruiting weekend. The Cardinals will be hosting 10 official visitors, including seven players committed to U of L.

University of Louisville football coach Bobby Petrino and his staff will have another big recruiting weekend.

The Cardinals are hosting 10 official visitors, including seven players already committed to U of L.

The three players not committed are Clinton, Miss., defensive end Grant Harris, JUCO offensive lineman Kelby Johnson and Miami Killian cornerback Trumaine Washington.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Harris is a three-star and ranked as the No. 55 defensive end in the country. He has already visited Mississippi State and is looking at Miami and Southern Miss.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Washington is a two-star and is currently committed to Akron. He's scheduled to visit U of L this weekend and then head to Syracuse next weekend.

The 6-8, 310-pound Johnson is a former player at Virginia, who spent a year at ASA - The College of Excellence. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Among the seven commitments visiting will be Shaq Jones, who just committed to the Cardinals on Wednesday night. He's a cornerback from Merritt Island, Fla.

Other players visiting: Desean Blair, Danny Burns, Zykiesis Cannon, Michael Johnson, Isaac Stewart and George Rushing.

Blair visited Nebraska last week, while Rushing went to Wisconsin last weekend.
