After his team whipped South Florida on Wednesday night, University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino said he was headed on the recruiting trail some this week.
On Friday night, Pitino was in Pembroke Pines, Fla., watching a top 2016 prospect for the second time this season.
Miami Norland sophomore power forward Dewan Huell said Pitino watched his game against Somerset on Friday night.
The 6-foot-10 Huell said that was "the second time (Pitino) has been down" to see him this season. Pitino also watched him during a preseason practice in September.
Huell is ranked as the No. 7 power forward in the country, according to Scout.com, and has eight reported scholarship offers. He said his first offer came from U of L.
When asked if U of L was one of his top schools, Huell responded "Oh yeah, but I am considering every school right now."
Huell is averaging 12.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots a game for Norland. He also reports offers from Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Miami, South Florida, South Carolina and Mississippi.
