U of L star Marcus Smith in Senior Bowl

University of Louisville senior Marcus Smith, who led the Cardinals' defense last season, will be competing in the Reese's Senior Bowl on Saturday in Mobile, Ala. The game will kickoff at 4 o'clock and is televised on the NFL Network.

University of Louisville senior defensive standout Marcus Smith will be playing a new position on Saturday in the Reese's Senior Bowl, which is played in Mobile, Ala.

Smith, who led the nation in sacks as a senior, played defensive end at U of L but has been switched to outside linebacker for the all-star game. The kickoff is set for 4 p.m.

The Senior Bowl is televised on the NFL Network. Smith will be No. 90 on the North.

A consensus All-American as a defensive end, Smith finished his senior season with 15 sacks. He had 25 sacks and 35 tackles for a loss during his career with the Cardinals.

Smith led the U of L defense, which allowed an FBS low in rushing yards this season, and helped the Cardinals finish 12-1 with a win over Miami in the Russell Athletic Bowl.
