Those efforts secured an official visit from the 6-foot-3, 260-pound prospect, which he made over the weekend.
"It was a good visit," he told Cardinal Authority, adding that he was impressed by how "the players interacted with each other."
Harris has already visited Mississippi State and is also considering Miami and Southern Miss. He had previously scheduled a visit with the Hurricanes this weekend and is slated to visit the Golden Eagles on the 31st.
During his visit, he spent time touring the campus and football facilities, as well as spending time with players and coaches.
"The coaching staff is the best," he said.
Previously considered a Mississippi State lean, the time spent in Louisville has placed the Cardinals "in the top" of schools that he's considering.
"No one leads," he said.
A member of the Mississippi All-Star team, Harris is projected as a defensive tackle by Mississippi State, while most others prefer him on the end.
