Smith was 9 of 14 from the field and added five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 29 minutes of action.
Luke Hancock added 16 points, five assists and four rebounds, while Montrezl Harrell added 14 points and seven rebounds. Wayne Blackshear chipped in 10 points and six rebounds.
The Cardinals were 32 of 62 from the field, including 7 of 19 on three-pointers, while hitting 16 of 25 free throws. Central Florida did outrebound the Cardinals 38-35.
