But on Sunday night, Culver told Cardinal Authority he didn't need to look anymore.
The 6-foot 180-pound three-star prospect visited Louisville two weeks ago and said he was ending his recruiting process.
"My final decision is that I will sign with Louisville (on Wednesday)," Culver said.
Culver also visited California and had been contacted by Nebraska and several other schools. He said he would sign at his school.
While he remained a soft commitment in recent weeks, Culver said it was his visit and chat with the new staff that sold him on the Cardinals.
"The team atmosphere and the coaches," he said. "I just really liked it a lot."
Culver said it was also a "big plus" that former Florida State star and NFL cornerback Terrell Buckley would be his position coach.
"Everybody (in Tallahassee) knows who is he," Culver said. "I knew of him, a lot. He's a great guy and I had fun talking to him."
